Yellowstone Ecology Research

Specializing in ecological research and consulting in the Yellowstone area, we know the backcountry like nobody else. If you are starting a research project, we can help you locate study sites with particular species, soil types, or other features. We can also offer advice on maintaining field equipment under adverse conditions and collecting samples in difficult to reach locations. . .or we can do your field work for you.

We are long time residents of the Yellowstone area, conducting externally funded scientific research in collaboration with several universities and government agencies. Our detailed geographic and scientific knowledge of the park make us a unique resource to the scientific community.

We write grant proposals and conduct our own externally-funded, long-term research projects. We also offer short term consultations (1-2 days) and ongoing field work contracts (several days per month) for researchers that have their own funding. Click on the "What we offer" link for details.
